Position
Warehouse Associate (Loader/Unloader) – 2nd Shift
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for keeping merchandise organized and ready to ship to customers and branch locations, receiving incoming merchandise, performing inventory counts, and verifying contents against packing slips.
Major Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming merchandise to ensure delivery matches packing slip.
- Examine stock for wear or defects and report damage to supervisor or vendor.
- Sort, organize, and label merchandise with appropriate stock/inventory codes.
- Perform scheduled cycle counts of products for inventory.
- Load trucks with packed orders in an organized sequence.
- Read pick tickets, prioritize orders, and verify items picked against tickets.
- Pack/unpack items to stock shelves following procedures.
- Pull, package, and stage outbound orders.
- Prepare outbound UPS deliveries as needed to ensure reliable shipment.
- Move completed orders to appropriate shipment locations.
- Operate forklift to load/unload trucks and place merchandise on shelves.
- Keep the warehouse orderly, organized, and clean during production and at shift end.
- Occasionally move company vehicles and motorized equipment.
- Communicate issues to the supervisor for resolution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of warehouse or distribution center experience.
- Skills:
- FACTS, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Abilities:
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask.
- Analytical ability including basic math skills.
- Ability to navigate websites and review written documents.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and correctly.
- Excellent time management, negotiation, critical thinking, decision-making, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong customer service mindset for internal and external customers.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 pounds with safety techniques; move about the warehouse and loading dock area most of the day; enter/exit vehicles several times per day; climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in small spaces and various climates.
