We are seeking a reliable, team player for our Clinical Secretary position at our busy Outpatient Clinic in Claremont, NH. The ideal candidate must be organized, work well independently or as part of a team, use good judgment and is customer service driven with a genuine interest in the well‑being of those we serve. Previous experience working with the public in various age groups is a plus.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage multi-line phone system
- Schedule client appointments
- Manage charts
- Accept payment for co-pays or payment plans
- Accurately complete data entry in a timely manner
- Report preparation
Education
- High School diploma
Experience
- Relevant work experiences in an office setting.
Required Skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to learn necessary computer and technical skills essential to the position and Agency needs.
- Ability to accurately type 80 words per minute.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong telephone skills and the ability to handle multi-line phone system.
- Ability to relate to staff, clients and community around a mental health system.
- Maintain skill competencies in customer service, quality improvement, compliance and safety.
Preferred Skills
- Electronic medical record knowledge
- Certification in medical terminology
- Prior experience in a community mental health environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to access all Agency sites
- Ability to lift, push and/or pull 10 lbs.
Other
- Ability to obtain and maintain Agency and/or State of New Hampshire required background check(s) to include both driving and criminal.
- Understanding the importance of confidentiality and the ability to maintain that confidence.
