Role Overview The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the CEO and Founder, Sri Njay, and will be a key member of the senior executive staff. The CFO will lead all financial operations for the company, including FP&A, accounting, business operations, tax, treasury, legal, and investor relations. The position is located in the San Jose or SF area.

Key Responsibilities

Drive a long‑term financial strategy aligned with business growth and scalability, instilling a culture of performance management and accountability to achieve operational excellence.

Implement operating‑cost discipline to improve margins, leverage software to improve automation and support scaling, and use data analysis to inform business decisions.

Shape the company’s financial narrative, communicate with the board and investors, and guide fundraising efforts.

Function as a business partner to the CEO and across the leadership team, providing financial and business insights in areas such as strategic planning, cash‑flow management, financing, headcount planning, strategic partnerships, sales‑channel expansion, and geographic expansion.

Understand business risks, develop a strong understanding of interface.ai’s market position and competitive strategy, and proactively assess long‑term vision and opportunities while maintaining financial discipline.

Lead global financial strategy, including international finance, compliance, and tax strategies across different jurisdictions.

Build, mentor, and scale the finance team, driving efficiency through automation and software tools, and supporting recruiting and team development plans.

Own the financial model, improve the planning process, and use financial analysis of key SaaS metrics (CLV, CAC, ARR) to influence key business decisions.

Ensure predictability and visibility of financial results, and lead the planning process with cross‑company accountability.

Qualifications

Must thrive in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven culture and have experience establishing systems and processes in a technology company.

Strong operator/leader able to transform finance team/processes/systems, implement and track KPIs, and optimize forecasting.

Demonstrated success as a CFO or VP of Finance at an enterprise SaaS/software company, scaling venture‑capital‑backed, high‑growth SaaS companies.

Experience partnering with a founder/CEO is a plus; high‑level cross‑functional collaboration with GTM, product, and customer success teams is required.

Investor‑relations and financing experience (debt and equity) with treasury expertise; responsible for optimizing capital allocation and managing investor communications.

Exceptional presentation and communication skills; experience presenting to board members, investors, and venture capitalists.

Global financial management experience with international finance, compliance, and tax strategies across jurisdictions.

12+ years of increasing financial leadership responsibility with deep experience in operational finance and FP&A; ability to drive value and growth levers at the corporate level.

Experience implementing modern finance tools that scale and influence digital transformation.

Data‑driven leader with strong analytical skills and a passion for using data to improve ROI.

Remotely based; preference for Pacific Time Zone candidates.

Compensation

Base salary between $325,000 and $350,000, depending on skills and location.
