Role Overview The Cardiology RN works with the Echocardiology and Nuclear Departments to coordinate patient care through testing areas in a safe and timely fashion. The RN assists the RN Supervisor/Manager in supervising and evaluating licensed clinical staff to ensure compliance with all company policies, state and federal regulations, and standards of practice.
Primary Responsibilities
Administers medication IV for testing purposes
Provides direct patient contact for Cardiac Stress testing, echocardiography and ensures a safe patient environment
Provides continuity of care for positive testing outcomes
Communicates with the Cardiologist and RN Supervisor/Manager about problems or adverse events during patient testing
Directly and indirectly monitors patient’s 12‑lead EKG rhythms and vital signs during testing and in the immediate recovery period of diagnostic testing procedures
Provides direct patient care before and after cardiovascular procedures
Supports standards of care in compliance with all state and federal regulations, standards of practice and SMA policies and procedures

Required Qualifications
Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Nevada
CPR/BLS certification
3+ years of relevant nursing experience (preferably in critical care, ICU, ER, or Cardiology)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
ACLS or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
1+ years acute Cardiology experience
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations, and practices to evaluate patient care
Proven solid customer service and communication skills
Ability to perform clinical cardiology skill assessments, invasive processes, and emergency care; fluency in all aspects of cardiology care; critical thinking during complicated diagnostic testing procedures; basic computer skills; and ability to establish intravenous access for patient testing procedures and emergency situations
Compensation and Benefits Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The hourly pay for this role ranges from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour for full‑time employment. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions (subject to eligibility requirements).
