The RN – Physician Practice shall render direct, pre-operative, and intraoperative nursing care to patients under the supervision of the Nurse Managers or other assigned leaders, and serve as a leader of a team engaged in providing nursing care. This individual shall participate in quality improvement, in‑services, customer service, and possess a clear understanding of aseptic technique principles, where applicable. The position may have additional duties within the scope of the role. Responsibilities
Direct, pre-operative, and intraoperative nursing care under supervision, team leadership, participation in quality improvement and customer service initiatives. Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; valid RN license required; BLS required; CNOR preferred. Membership in AORN encouraged. License/Certification: Valid RN license, BLS required, CNOR preferred, additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required depending on department. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work from broad directions and be self‑motivated. Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency. Effective communication with diverse individuals organization‑wide. Provide positive customer service experience to guests, visitors, and patients. Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Effective communication with patients, guests, and hospital personnel. Show compassion and sensitivity for patient comfort. Maintain confidentiality. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
Sitting (10%), walking (30%), standing (60%) of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, crawling, twisting. Frequent reaching, use of hands, repetitive action. Occasional lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds and pushing/pulling. Continuous need for clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation via phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Exposure to occasional risk of electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, radiation, mechanical and electrical equipment; high level of stress. Primary Location
