Job Summary This position will begin Spring 2026 and reports directly to the Principal Investigator of a neurosurgical human neurophysiology research laboratory. The role supports all aspects of data collection, organization, processing, and analysis related to intracranial electrophysiological recordings. Responsibilities include participant recruitment, IRB protocol maintenance, equipment oversight, and general laboratory management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with recruiting research participants.
Communicate and coordinate with study participants and collaborating laboratories.
Conduct computer‑based tasks with subjects while capturing neurophysiology data and administering questionnaires.
Maintain and organize study data and inventories.
Assist with data preprocessing and analysis.
Create and maintain research databases.
Assist with establishing and updating IRB protocols.
Help monitor and maintain research equipment and computers.
Manage inventory control.
Opportunity to participate in manuscript preparation and publication.
Technical Capabilities
Fundamental analysis: Demonstrates the ability to break a problem into basic parts and derive reasonable conclusions.
Fundamental clinical research: Knows primary resources needed, researches simple clinical questions, files and collates documentation.
Fundamental data collection: Gathers and interprets basic information within the context of assignments.
Core Accountabilities & Capabilities Delivers responsibilities that impact own team with guidance, solves standard work problems using existing procedures, and applies subject‑matter knowledge to meet job requirements. Work Experience: Less than 1 year relevant experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
