The role you'll contribute: Responsible for all aspects of care as outlined in the Sleep Disorder Center policy/procedure manual. Clinical practice activities include but are not limited to the performance of diagnostic polysomnographic testing and assessment based therapeutic interventions. The analysis and scoring of polysomnographic records is an expectation when registered and competency is signed off by the Lead Polysomnographer and Medical Director.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

Performs polysomnography procedures according to physician orders, department policy/procedure, and patient care plan.

Demonstrates ability to adapt EEG, ECG, EMG, Legs, Snore Mic and Thermistor equipment to patient and obtain quality data.

Explains modification of teaching strategies to accommodate decreased vision, hearing or mental status to our geriatric patients.

Explains considerations necessary for the care of our bariatric patient, and COPD patient suspected of chronic hypercarbia.

Maintains organized workflow and notifies Lead Polysomnographer if equipment/staffing concerns develop.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Up to 1 Year of Experience

Credentialed or certified with one or more of the following obtained within six months of hire date: American Academy of Sleep Medicine - Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists - Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)

BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association

Associate’s Degree or Graduate of a Technical School Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

1 to 2 Years of Position‑Related Experience Preferred
