Location Overview:

Park Lane New York seeks a dynamic team member to join us as a Catering Sales Manager. This role involves securing and servicing catering and event sales from social markets through active promotion, solicitation, and prospecting. The manager must balance client expectations with the hotel’s financial goals, fostering collaboration and delivering personalized service to create memorable guest experiences and uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain trusted client relationships, understanding their needs to deliver exceptional service that encourages repeat business and referrals.

Event Planning and Coordination:

Oversee all aspects of event planning, including menu selection, logistics, staffing, and setup, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to hotel standards.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

Generate leads, negotiate contracts, close sales, and upsell services to maximize revenue across food and beverage outlets.

Banquet Event Orders (BEOs):

Develop and manage BEOs and resumes, ensuring accurate communication of event details to all departments.

Financial Management:

Create cost estimates, manage budgets, and coordinate billing to ensure profitability while meeting client expectations.

Vendor and Department Collaboration:

Work closely with culinary, banquet, reservations, and front desk teams, and manage relationships with third-party vendors.

Quality Assurance and Post-Event Follow-up:

Conduct evaluations, collect feedback, and participate in meetings to report on event updates and client needs.

What You Bring

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within a luxury or lifestyle hotel.

Proficiency in Delphi, Microsoft Office, and event planning software; excellent communication and organizational skills.

Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality and high service standards.

We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic Catering Manager to deliver high-quality service. The role involves prospecting, contracting, producing, and overseeing catering events.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inquiries, proposals, negotiations, and contracts following procedures.

Solicit new and existing catering accounts, attend industry functions, and maintain relationships.

Coordinate site visits and assist walk-in clients.

Guide clients on food and beverage selections, room layout, décor, and A/V needs.

Manage events and generate banquet event orders and floor plans.

Coordinate event details with culinary and outlet teams.

Ensure payment collection for deposits and final balances.

Input food and beverage figures into Delphi for budgeting and projections.

Meet and exceed sales goals.

Qualifications

At least two years of experience in sales or catering.

Bachelor's degree in hospitality preferred.

Knowledge of Delphi is a plus.

Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive, self-motivated, and a team player.

High energy and positive attitude.

Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

Knowledge of hotel operations and departmental interactions.
