The Building Engineering Services Group ( BES ) provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site civil, structural, and specialty design services for a wide variety of buildings, including public, municipal, private, and Federal projects across the region and globally. With a team of experienced staff in areas such as Science and Technology, Healthcare, Transportation, Water, Federal, and Resources facilities, we deliver engineering excellence. We also prioritize sustainable design and energy conservation.

Primary Responsibilities

We are seeking a

Senior Electrical Engineer

to join our team. This leader will assist the Electrical Section Manager in managing and guiding the Electrical Group. Key responsibilities include:

Leading electrical design teams for multiple projects concurrently.

Coordinating electrical work with multidisciplinary teams throughout project development and construction.

Managing workload to ensure timely completion of documents.

Tracking project budgets and adjusting efforts to stay within financial parameters.

Conducting schematic, design development, and contract document sessions with clients.

Establishing and maintaining client relationships, participating in marketing, and design meetings related to electrical systems.

Reviewing code compliance with governing agencies.

Mentoring junior staff members.

Communicating effectively, working independently, and being proactive.

In this role, you will:

Coordinate electrical engineering work within multidisciplinary teams throughout project development.

Build client relations and participate in marketing and project meetings.

Lead electrical aspects on various projects.

Review code compliance with authorities.

Conduct project sessions on-site with project teams.

Manage project schedules and budgets.

Collaborate with project management for reviews and reporting.

Supervise and mentor other electrical engineers.

Perform additional duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing electrical systems for complex facilities such as Healthcare, Education, Science, and Technology industries.

Master's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus.

Experience with architectural/engineering consulting firms.

Preference for local candidates.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.

At least 10 years of experience in electrical building design (lighting, power, systems).

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Extensive knowledge of electrical power, lighting, signal design, life safety, and building management systems.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and more. The typical salary range for this position is $125,580 - $199,375 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and location.
