Position
Junior Signal Processing Engineer – Advanced Warfare Technology Division, Leidos Innovation Center (Beavercreek, OH).
Overview As a result of program growth, the Advanced Warfare Technology Division of the Leidos Innovation Center is looking for a Junior Signal Processing Engineer to support remote sensing programs in Beavercreek, OH. The role involves working with a multi‑disciplined design team to design, develop, simulate, and integrate new algorithms into sensor systems based on given project requirements. The candidate will also implement algorithms in FPGA‑based systems and support integration, testing, verification, and documentation of final products.
Responsibilities
Develop, model, and test algorithms in MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++.
Analyze, design, simulate, and implement algorithms in hardware descriptor languages (VHDL, Verilog) based on customer requirements and/or MATLAB models.
Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends.
Plan and perform analytical and engineering research, design development, participate in testing, and other technical assignments.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields and relevant experience.
Must be eligible to obtain TS/SCI; active Secret preferred but not required.
Experience with tools such as MATLAB, Linux, Python, and languages such as C/C++, Java, etc.
VHDL, Verilog HDL coding experience.
Working knowledge of basic signal processing concepts (FFTs, filtering, decimation, interpolation, etc.).
Working knowledge of scientific programming and algorithm development.
Experience with image and signal processing.
Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areas.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of computer vision algorithms, parallel programming, and/or sensor physics.
Experience with machine learning, deep learning, and/or GPU programming.
