Estelle@paddingtonstation.org Position Overview: The Bookkeeper provides essential bookkeeping, administrative, and clerical support. This positionis responsible formaintainingaccuratefinancial records,maintainingthe general ledger, studentbillingand re-enrollment processes, managing accounts payable and receivable,billing for summer camp, and liaising with programs such as the Denver Preschool Program (DPP). 24 hours per weekin person, as agreed upon,year round12 monthcontract Key Responsibilities The following responsibilities include but are not limited to: School Values & Culture Demonstrate a commitment to Paddington Station’s mission, values, and community standards. Contribute to a positiveandrespectful workplace. Financial Operations Set up andmaintainall student accounts in the school’s billing system; issuetimelyandaccuratebilling statements. Collect, record, and deposit tuition and other income; reconcile payments in billing and/or general ledger systems. Monitor and follow up on delinquent accounts; communicate with families as needed. Record all contributions (restricted and unrestricted) and miscellaneous income. Manage accounts payable: verify invoices, prepare weekly checks, and ensuretimelyandaccuratedisbursement. Reconcile bank accounts monthly. Maintainaccuraterecords of all financial transactions (digital and hard copies). Enrollment & Tuition Support Assistwith mailing and tracking enrollment and re-enrollment contracts and deposits. Support the financial aid process: manage documentation,assistwith communication, and ensureaccuratebilling. Compliance & Reporting Collect W9 forms from vendors and distribute tax forms. Serve as the primary point of contact for the Denver Preschool Program (DPP) and the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) School Community Support Support financial operations for school-wide events, fundraisers, the annual auction, andPaddington Family Associationinitiatives. Process teacher reimbursements. Maintainaccuraterecords of classroom budgetsand provide monthly updates for all budget line items. General Administration Provide clerical support, including word processing, answering phones, filing, copying, and responding to financial inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned by the Business Manager or Head of School. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred) Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or business office support Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online Skills & Attributes High levelof accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability tomaintaindiscretion and confidentiality Professional, motivated, collaborative, and approachable demeanor Compensation & Benefits $35-$45 per hour based on experience and education 100% employer paid benefits.
