VRF / Refrigerant Piping & Duct Superintendent Dallas, TX

Salary: $90,000-$105,000 per year plus performance bonuses

About The Role VRF / Refrigerant Piping & Duct Superintendent to lead our field teams on commercial HVAC projects. This leadership position oversees all phases of VRF and refrigerant piping installation, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality.

While sheet metal experience is valuable, this position emphasizes technical mastery of refrigerant piping, VRF systems, and mechanical coordination. The ideal candidate is a Servant Leader who leads by example, balancing accountability, mentorship, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and safety documentation

Develop and implement Next Day Plans (NDPs) and Next Week Plans (NWPs)

Lead and coordinate refrigerant piping and VRF installation activities

Oversee sheet metal work as part of complete HVAC system integration

Prepare material and equipment procurement orders for project startup

Plan and adjust work schedules and sequences to meet project timelines

Assess the abilities of foremen and field staff to optimize performance

Estimate man-hour requirements and assist with cost projections

Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety standards

Conduct performance evaluations and promote teammate growth

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve issues

Monitor progress and provide regular project status updates

Maintain accurate timekeeping, scheduling, and progress documentation

Manage materials, tools, and equipment to support efficient workflow

Qualifications

Proven experience leading VRF/refrigerant piping installations

Familiarity with sheet metal systems and mechanical coordination

Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Skilled in material takeoffs, scheduling, and manpower planning

Supervisory experience managing 5-20+ team members

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reports, logs, and scheduling

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Leadership style grounded in accountability, teamwork, and mentorship

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $90,000-$105,000 annually (DOE)
