Responsibilities

Provide technical support for a wide range of hydrogeology projects, including regional and local hydrogeologic assessments, contaminated site assessments, regulatory groundwater monitoring programs, and conceptual site model development.

Work with project teams to conceptualize, build, calibrate, and execute groundwater flow models using industry‑accepted software (Groundwater VISTA, FEFLOW, Visual MODFLOW, GMS).

Support the development and execution of conceptual site model (CSM)–driven work plans that balance innovative modeling tools or approaches with the scale and scope of the problem.

Prepare technical reports by analyzing, interpreting results, and reporting project data.

Liaise with clients and stakeholders.

Apply quantitative hydrogeology, geospatial analysis, and data visualization skills to accelerate project progress and activate key decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or graduate degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or a related field.

Eligible for professional registration (e.g., PG, PE).

15+ years of experience in a similar consulting role.

Practical experience in physical and contaminant hydrogeology, including conceptual site model development, groundwater monitoring network design, well‐testing, groundwater‑surface water interaction, dewatering assessments, drilling and aquifer testing, feasibility studies, brownfields projects, risk assessment, and risk management.

Working knowledge of industry‑standard groundwater modeling and analysis software (e.g., AQTESOLV, Surfer, Groundwater VISTA, FEFLOW, Visual MODFLOW, GMS).

Specific experience using FEFLOW and/or automated parameter estimation/calibration tools (PEST) is a plus.

Experience with contaminant transport modeling (MT3D, RT3D, PHT3D).

Working knowledge of GIS software (ArcPro, QGIS) and boring‑log/cross‑section tools (gINT, OpenGround).

Experience with subsurface hydrogeochemical 3‑D visualization software (Leapfrog, EVS, Rockworks).

Comfort with MS Excel pivot tables, MS Access, and basic database management, query writing, data reduction, and tabulation.

Excellent problem‑solving ability and effective project management skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.

Ability to communicate complex site processes and plans both verbally and through technical graphics to a wide variety of audiences.

Experience writing technical reports.
