About the Role
Dentologie is seeking a full-time
Dental Assistant
to provide outstanding patient care in our Chicago office(s). This opportunity comes with excellent pay ($20‑$23/hr., based on experience), a career track, great benefits package, full‑time hours with a balanced schedule, and a fun culture right here in Chicago.
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 5 shifts per week (3 morning and 2 evening shifts). Monday‑Thursday: morning shift (7:30 am‑2:30 pm) and evening shift (1:30 or 2:30 pm‑8:30 pm). Friday: 7:30 am‑3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties
Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures
Provide a 10‑star patient experience
Prepare instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures
Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS
Pass dental instruments between provider and assistant (4‑handed dentistry)
Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment
Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post‑treatment
Instruct patients on pre‑ and post‑operative procedures and provide oral health education
Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra‑oral scans/photos
Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment
Monitor daily supplies for restocking
Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for care post‑treatment procedures
Required Skills & Abilities
Minimum six months of assistant experience
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills
Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care
Prioritization and delegation of tasks when appropriate
Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment
Preferred: coronal polishing certificate
