Baptist Urgent Care is looking for dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant/X-Ray Tech or Radiology Tech to join our dynamic healthcare team in Collierville and Bartlett, TN. Full‑time and PRN opportunities are available.
Baptist Urgent Care operates 10 locations in Tennessee and Mississippi as an affiliate of Urgent Team. Our urgent care centers provide a range of services, including treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Centers are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All locations are Accredited Care Centers, a designation recognizing our commitment to safety, quality, and patient care.
Job Summary The Medical Assistant/X‑Ray Tech or Radiology Tech will greet patients, activate and maintain patient files, and provide support to patients and medical staff throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities
Promptly greet patients when entering the waiting area, exam room, or laboratory/x‑ray room.
Communicate wait times clearly and provide directions to the next step in the treatment process.
Provide solutions to patient issues and seek assistance in emergent or hazardous situations.
Assist with follow‑up regarding lab and x‑ray results and make follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
Assist front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.
Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, weight, brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent information.
Assist with patient transfers and with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
Assist in lab procedures under provider supervision.
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory safety protocols, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
Ensure that equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the Regional Operations Manager or provider on duty.
Follow documentation procedures and complete required patient visit records.
Maintain the examination room and restock supplies as needed.
Adhere to infection control/safety guidelines and patient confidentiality policies.
Perform phlebotomy, injections, medical procedures, and laboratory procedures appropriate to the level of training under provider direction.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.
Valid State License to perform X‑Rays.
BLS Certification required.
