Medical Scribe
Location:
Ronkonkoma, NY
Hours/Days:
4 / 10 Hour Shifts; Monday: RDO, Tuesday: 8-6, Wed: 10:30-7:30, Thu: 8-6, Fri: 8-5

In This Role, You Will
Take comprehensive medical histories from patients.
Review and assist with provider inbox management and related tasks.
Ensure that the provider addresses all lab and radiology results; coordinate with the nursing team as directed by the provider.
Ensure the provider completes all required patient forms and documents.
Collaborate to maintain efficient workflows within the team.
Transcribe in-office visits and phone consultations.
Maintain consistent communication with the nursing team to ensure efficient inbox management.
Provide patient education on relevant topics.
Assist with care management, inbox management, injections, and wound care.
Provide coverage for the primary care physician (PCP).
Assist with patient intake and preparation in examination rooms.
Accompany physicians during patient exams to transcribe histories, physical exams, diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions.
Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Document any procedures performed by the physician.
Enter all relevant information into the EMR system.
We Require
MA Certification or LPN License.
At least 1 year of working in an outpatient medical facility.
Outstanding computer knowledge.
Superb writing and vocabulary skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish a plus.
