ROLE OVERVIEW:
Vital Versatility is seeking a mid-level, Senior Account Executive with 3-4 years of public relations experience to join our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience supporting clients across music, entertainment, sports, fashion; and work in the following areas - TV/Film, food or social justice – is considered a bonus.
This role requires a highly-motivated individual that demonstrates leadership, thrives in fast-paced environments, adapts to an evolving work landscape, is able to manage multiple accounts and can provide strategic media and PR recommendations to clients.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be expected to boast strong media relationships and be committed to consistently building new relationships with reporters, editors, talent bookers, etc. The candidate needs to be detail-oriented and work cross-functionally with junior and senior team members to drive key initiatives and activities, secure impactful stories for our clients, draft materials, staff events and much more.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, edit and proofread client-facing media materials – press releases, pitches, media advisories, briefing documents, fact sheets, etc.
Conduct thorough research on client-related items and share key findings on emerging platforms, media moves and more
Serve as the day‑to‑day client contact lead and offer thoughtful and effective counsel and guidance
Support the team’s overall planning and strategy development processes, delegate appropriate tasks and jump in as needed to support senior team members
Manage junior personnel and interns with a positive and proactive attitude
Provide on-site support at staff events, coordinate logistics, assist with campaigns and more
Actively procure press coverage for clients on an ongoing basis and further develop press contacts
Monitor press coverage on talent/brand clients, vet press inquiries and drive media opportunities forward for clients
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Minimum of 3-4 years of public relations experience
Experience managing junior staff members
Possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to day-to-day operations
Aggressively pursue new media angles and story opportunities
Manage multiple client projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment while serving as a point of contact for clients
Proven track record in delivering high-quality media results in print, online and broadcast
Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field preferred
LOCATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Flexible, hybrid work model; ideally based in the metro Los Angeles, CA area
Some work for this position will be in‑person to collaborate with the Vital Versatility Team, support account needs, and provide superior client service
Flexibility to travel, as necessary, contingent on client needs
Position may call for work in evenings, on weekends and over holidays depending on events, projects, campaigns, etc.

Enjoys working on multiple projects simultaneously with shifting priorities

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 (salary dependent on experience & expertise)
