Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve in a dual role as Executive Director, Attain Sports and General Manager, Frederick Keys. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic growth across multiple minor league baseball organizations while leading day‑to‑day operations for the Frederick Keys.
As Executive Director of Attain Sports, you will oversee sponsorship, sales, and ticketing strategies for the Chesapeake Baysox, Frederick Keys, and Aberdeen IronBirds, working closely with ownership and front office teams to maximize revenue, fan engagement, and brand visibility.
As General Manager of the Frederick Keys, you will lead all aspects of the team’s business operations, including budget management, game day, and community outreach. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for delivering family‑friendly entertainment.
Job Responsibilities
Lead sponsorship strategy and execution across all three teams, cultivating long‑term partnerships and maximizing brand alignment.
Oversee ticketing strategy and sales performance, including pricing models, group sales, and season packages.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop integrated campaigns that drive attendance and fan engagement.
Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions and optimize revenue streams.
Serve as a key liaison between ownership and team front offices to ensure alignment on business and financial goals and performance metrics.
Business Operations
Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Frederick Keys organization.
Manage transportation and housing logistics for players and staff.
Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure smooth execution of practices, games, and player development activities.
Supervise concessions and retail store operations.
Ensure compliance with stadium lease requirements and league regulations.
Develop and manage the team’s budget, including revenue projections, expenses, and financial reporting.
Implement cost‑saving measures and revenue‑generating initiatives to ensure financial sustainability.
Marketing and Fan Engagement
Partner with Attain Sports Marketing to create and execute marketing strategies to boost attendance, ticket sales, and merchandise revenue.
Build strong relationships with sponsors, media outlets, and community partners.
Organize promotional events, theme nights, and outreach programs to foster a loyal fan base.
Strategic Planning
Develop long‑term strategic plans to achieve competitive and organizational goals, including stadium capital improvements.
Monitor industry trends and demographic shifts to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align priorities and resources across the organization.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in professional sports management, preferably with MLB affiliated baseball teams.
Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high‑performing teams.
Strong understanding of business and baseball operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and contract negotiation.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the baseball season.

Attain Sports is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, ranging from $90,000 – $130,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
