Position Overview The Client Inquiry Analyst is responsible for the resolution of inquiries for all assigned Zelis editing clients. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert on coding and claim adjudication guidelines and Zelis editing products. The Analyst provides written responses to client inquiries, supports the day‑to‑day activities of the team, and ensures alignment with best‑practice policies. Key responsibilities include analyzing client data, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights to improve client satisfaction and retention.

What You’ll Do

Serve as a subject‑matter expert providing coding and claim adjudication guidance for all assigned clients.

Demonstrate deep knowledge of Zelis editing products and articulate coding guidelines.

Provide clear, written responses to internal and external client inquiries.

Utilize tools and applications to resolve and, if necessary, escalated edit/claim inquiries.

Ensure all inquiries are responded to and resolved within SLA timeframes.

Participate in client meetings, presenting insights on inquiry trends.

Proactively resolve and escalation client issues while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

Analyze data to identify, escalation and resolution opportunities.

Prioritize tasks to meet on‑time completion goals.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with cross‑functional teams.

Develop insightful reports and presentations for clients.

Monitor client performance metrics and provide actionable insights.

Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements.

Gather client feedback to inform product development and enhancements.

Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices.

What You’ll Bring To Zelis

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of relevant education and work experience with healthcare payers.

Current certified coder (AAPC or AHIMA), RHIA/RHIT, RN/LPN with coding knowledge, or related certification.

Extensive knowledge of coding, claim adjudication guidelines, policies, and edit rules.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.

Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau).

Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced, dynamic team.

Location and Workplace Flexibility We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote‑friendly culture. Work location is determined by the needs of the position and the leadership team.

Base Salary Range $65,000.00 – $87,000.00 (base salary). Salary is based on experience, education, qualifications, and job‑related skills.
