Position Overview Position title:

Nephrology

Salary range:

$180,000 – $240,000 annually.

Job duties include full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient nephrology care: continuous dialysis therapies in critically ill patients, apheresis care, plasmapheresis, cellular pheresis procedures, continuous renal replacement therapy modalities, invasive procedures, end‑stage renal disease care, consultation, and the delivery of new models of healthcare in the nephrology space. The successful candidate will also provide high‑quality training, teaching, and/or research.

Position Description The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is recruiting academic nephrologists for faculty positions. The Division continues to expand its clinical care for patients with kidney disease, including chronic kidney disease, end‑stage kidney disease, dialysis and apheresis care.

Qualifications

MD or equivalent, DO, or MD/PhD in health‑related areas.

Eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.

Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Nephrology.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of experience in designing and evaluating clinical trials and observational data to define targets of blood pressure treatment in persons with kidney disease.

Research and/or clinical interest in hypertension.
