Position Overview Cognitive is seeking a detail‑oriented
Data Analyst
to support the DoD Defense Health Agency TRICARE Fifth Generation Contract (“T‑5”) supporting TriWest Healthcare Alliance. In this role, you’ll be responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and reporting data from multiple work streams across the program. Your work will directly inform leadership decision‑making, performance tracking, and contract reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Aggregate data and reports from various program teams into a unified reporting structure
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and trends to provide actionable insights
Develop and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for internal and external stakeholders
Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistent, accurate data reporting
Identify gaps in data collection or reporting processes and propose solutions
Support ad‑hoc data requests and reporting needs for program leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, or related field
2–4 years of experience in a data‑analysis or reporting role, preferably within healthcare or government contracts
Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Understanding of Agile Methodologies and experience in using Jira to manage and report on data in the areas of backlogs, sprints, epics, issue types and other features to identify performance improvement opportunities
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Experience working with large datasets and cross‑functional teams
Ability to communicate complex data in a clear, concise manner
Preferred
Familiarity with TriCare or VA‑related programs
Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
Knowledge of government contract reporting standards
