OT Cloud Administrator

with a strong Microsoft Azure and cybersecurity background to support and maintain the critical infrastructure within our Operational Technology (OT) environment.

Job Summary The ideal candidate will be well‑versed in Azure security posture improvement, Windows Server administration, and virtualization. Offshore and data center experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for the OT Azure environment, including identity architecture, virtual networks, security controls, and resource segmentation.

Build Azure Policy and automation to maintain consistent configurations in OT tenants.

Improve the organization’s Azure security posture by hardening identity infrastructure, minimizing attack surface, and implementing recommendations from Microsoft Secure Score and Defender for Cloud.

Support integration of OT workloads into MxDR, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Defender solutions for visibility and threat detection.

Liaise with the Cloud Center of Excellence team to develop and deploy cloud governance, standards, and patterns.

Administer Azure AD, ADConnect, Conditional Access, and Just‑In‑Time (JIT) access for privileged accounts.

Maintain FinOps practices to promote responsible cloud spending.

Manage Active Directory, including user/group management, GPO, and ADConnect.

Configure and support Windows and virtualization server infrastructure.

Administer certificate services and provide support for data center operations.

Manage VMware environments and monitor infrastructure with SCOM, StruxureWare, OpenManage, SolarWinds, and Azure Monitor.

Support backup solutions such as Rubrik or Avamar; oversee backup job monitoring and recovery coordination.

Use SCCM for patch management, software deployment, and endpoint configuration.

Implement technical security controls aligned with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, or Zero Trust Architecture; drive vulnerability remediation and privileged access management.

Participate in security incident response and maintain alignment with enterprise SIEM platforms.

Maintain OT asset inventory and produce relevant documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration, preferably in an OT or industrial control system (ICS) environment.

Strong experience with Microsoft Azure administration, especially security‑focused configuration and posture improvement.

Proficiency with Azure AD, Conditional Access, JIT, and ADConnect.

Windows Server, virtualization, Active Directory, GPOs, and certificate services expertise.

Knowledge of process control design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Advanced knowledge of communications networks, radios, and electrical devices.

Ability to produce network diagrams, process flow diagrams, and use Microsoft Visio.

Strong documentation and knowledge‑transfer skills.

Ability to manage OT/IT network segregation including firewall support.

Travel 10–15% to sites in Eagleford Shale, Canada, and Gulf of America platforms (remote aspects allowed up to 2 days/week).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SCCM, SCOM, StruxureWare, SolarWinds, or similar monitoring tools.

Offshore or industrial OT experience.

Deep understanding of OT/ICS cybersecurity principles and Zero Trust design.

Familiarity with Claroty, Palo Alto, or Microsoft Defender for IoT.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
