Lateral Litigation and Finance Partner and Associate hiring across the New York and DC Legal markets| Member of the NALSC (National Association of… We are working with a prestigious global law firm that is seeking to add a mid-level associate to its construction litigation / disputes practice in New York. This is a rare chance to join a market-leading team that acts on some of the most complex and high-value matters worldwide, spanning infrastructure, energy, and large-scale development projects.
The successful candidate will step into a team with a strong international platform, advising blue-chip clients on disputes arising out of transport, energy transition, renewables, social infrastructure, real estate, and mega-projects. The practice advises developers, contractors, investors, funds, lenders, and public entities across all stages of the construction lifecycle.
Compensation: The firm pays Cravath scale base salary and bonuses

Breadth of Work: Exposure to domestic litigation and international arbitration, involving delay and disruption claims, defects, change orders, professional negligence, and contract termination disputes
Cross-Border Reach: Collaborate with colleagues across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas on multijurisdictional projects and disputes
Sector Diversity: Work spans renewables (wind, solar, nuclear), oil and gas, data centers, transport, utilities, airports, and PPPs
Support and Development: Structured training, close partner mentorship, and clear progression pathways in one of the world’s elite law firms
Ideal Background
Experience: 4–7 years of construction litigation or arbitration experience at a leading law firm
Background: Strong foundation in complex disputes; familiarity with standard construction forms (EPC, FIDIC, NEC) is advantageous
Skills: Excellent drafting, case management, and client-handling skills; able to manage complex cross-border matters
Mindset: Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and ambitious to build a career at the very top of the market
