Our client is a globally recognized Japanese automotive parts manufacturer, specializing in high-quality interior and exterior components for leading automotive OEMs. With a strong global presence and dedication to innovation, the company continues to expand its U.S. operations and seeks a driven Sales Account Manager to join its growing team.

Position Summary:

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing sales performance and key customer accounts in alignment with corporate business strategies. This role requires strong OEM relationship management skills, the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities, and a proactive approach to ensuring customer satisfaction and program success.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage sales projects from initial business opportunity through production launch—both internally and with OEM partners.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential OEM customers.

Develop pricing strategies, negotiate terms, and secure profitable new programs aligned with company goals.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring consistent communication and responsiveness.

Translate customer goals and technical requirements into actionable internal objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing) to ensure seamless project execution.

Prepare and present quotations, negotiate pricing, and support documentation to finalize agreements.

Serve as the primary contact for Purchasing, Quality, and Design departments at customer sites.

Coordinate information exchange with headquarters in Japan and provide detailed updates to internal leadership.

Mentor and support other members of the sales team, providing direction and training as needed.

Lead large-scale or complex business projects to ensure milestones and customer requirements are met.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two to five years sales experience including automotive experience, desired.

Japanese language skill at conversational or higher required.

Strong understanding of automotive design, manufacturing, and quality terminology.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.

Results-driven, dependable, and customer-focused.
