General Summary Under general supervision, is responsible for sales account performance in alignment with the company's business strategy. Strong OEM interaction in identifying and acquiring carry over and new programs while ensuring customer needs and specifications are met. Markets interior automotive flooring and acoustical interior trim components to our customer base, along with other new products as developed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Manages sales projects from initial recognition of the business opportunity to production launch internally at the company and with the OEM; possesses the ability to turn business opportunities into profitable sales for the organization.

Monitors sales activities that are consistent with the customer requirements of the Tier I supplier.

Identifies new business opportunities to expand sales with existing account(s), defines opportunities for new business growth, solidifies price targets, quality, manufacturing and program management initiatives to achieve business award.

Maintains and fosters current customer relationship in support of future growth and sales opportunities, being reliable, responsible and dependable in fulfilling customer obligations.

Transforms customer goals into internal objectives to generate new sales emphasizing product features based on analyses of customers’ needs.

Coaches and provides daily support to other sales members, including sales representatives, including providing direction and training, as needed.

Leads other members in various large scale or more complex/new business areas to ensure project milestones and activities are met.

Manages sales projects from initial recognition of the business opportunity to production

both internally at the company and externally with the OEM; Directs cross functional teams to achieve goals with customer in mind. Coordinates and exchanges information with headquarters/parent company.

Coordinates with the company internal departments involved and develops and presents quotations. Negotiates directly with the customer and concludes the price including all related documentation and support.

Communicates with Purchasing, Quality and Design windows at our customers.

Maintains and fosters long-term customer relationship in support of future growth and sales opportunities while working in a global, multi-tasked, multi-cultural environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two to five years sales experience including automotive experience, desired. Five year’s experience strongly preferred.

Japanese language skill at conversational or higher required.
