Opportunity We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive
Financial Planning Analyst
with 25 years of experience to support strategic decision-making and performance optimization across our asset portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a data-driven environment and is passionate about using financial insights to drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Argus and MRI, and will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and best practices reporting.
Responsibilities: Support the VP of Finance in the preparation and consolidation of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans. Track and analyze actual performance against underwriting expectations; produce a report card to measure asset-level and portfolio-wide performance. Lead peer asset reporting initiatives to compare financial and operational performance across similar assets and platforms. Identify and report on best practices across the asset portfolio, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive implementation. Leverage data analytics and emerging AI tools to automate reporting, enhance forecast accuracy, and extract actionable insights. Build and maintain detailed financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and capital planning. Prepare and deliver financial performance reports and dashboards for executive leadership. Conduct ad hoc analysis in response to business needs and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting. 25 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field. Experience with Argus (DCF or Enterprise) and MRI Software is highly preferred. Proficiency in Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Exposure to AI tools or automation platforms (e.g., Alteryx, Python, ChatGPT for analysis, etc.) is a plus. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide insights. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership. Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
Work Environment: This position is based in our newly-remodeled, downtown Cincinnati office, with occasional workplace flexibility available if needed Normal business hours and minimal, if any, required business travel
