Overview Private Banking (PB) US Operations is part of the Central Europe and US region and provides operational support in the US to the Private Banking business in the areas of Discretionary, Trust Planning, Custody, Wealth Advisory, Brokerage and Lending as well as the Deposit business with combined $70bn assets under management (AUM). Operations is responsible for managing middle and back‑office services, including outsourced services to third‑party vendors and services offshored to internal Deutsche Bank locations.

What You'll Do

Oversee end-to-end processing, servicing, and administration of loan portfolios within the Private Bank, ensuring all transactions related to the life cycle of loans are executed accurately, efficiently, timely and in compliance with the Bank's regulatory requirements.

Lead, manage and develop the onsite and offshore teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of all loan life‑cycle events for syndicated and bilateral deals, including booking of new loans and amendments; loan servicing processes such as drawings, rollovers, payment adjustments and account maintenance; adherence to regulatory requirements, loan policy guidelines and internal controls; collaborate with lending team to address discrepancies, streamline processes and support client needs.

Work on new product approvals, regulatory reporting and transformation projects.

Support internal and external auditors with evidencing requests and timely attending to queries.

Collaborate closely with the internal team and business teams to close any open audit findings and provide support for risk, compliance and regulatory asks.

Identify process gaps and help drive process optimization.

How You'll Lead

Oversee and implement lending‑related projects in collaboration with vendors and IT.

Serve as an escalation point and subject‑matter expert for complex issues and activities.

Lead conversations with Treasury and Finance colleagues on P/L, and balance sheet and resolve queries from Finance and Treasury.

Skills You'll Need

Core lending operations expertise in commercial real estate (CRE), commercial & industrial (C&I), SBLC.

Proven ability to interact confidently with senior leadership, bankers, lenders and auditors (internal & external).

Experience in developing and delivering presentations and reports for executive management; strong risk and control mindset including ability to elevate concerns immediately.

Experience managing a large lending operations team.

Proficiency in Loan IQ and lending document management, hands‑on experience with reconciliation and life‑cycle management of loans.

Bachelor's degree in business/accounting/finance subjects. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Skills That Will Help You Excel

Experience managing a private banking/wealth‑management loan portfolio; understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, accounting hands‑on experience.

Additional residential lending experience is a plus.

Self‑motivated & self‑starter.

Excellent communication skills—written & verbal.

Problem‑solving skills / thinking out of the box, open mindset to learning and taking on new challenges.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $110,000 to $150,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
