Role Overview The CT Technologist at Emory Decatur Hospital operates CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical equipment to produce scans for diagnostic and invasive procedures. Provides quality care to patients during diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Prepares patients with proper sterile technique, communicates needs and responses, ensures documentation is complete and accurate, and takes precautions to minimize patient and staff exposure to x‑radiation. Assumes responsibility for direct care for all procedures performed in this area and supports procedure planning.
Shift & Location Shift: Friday‑Sunday 7 AM‑7:30 PM / Full‑time / 36 hours Location: Emory Decatur Hospital Shift differential: Additional $15/hour
Minimum Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered with the ARRT.
CPR certification required.
Minimum of two (2) years experience, with one (1) year in CT.
Advanced certification in CT preferred.
BLS Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
Physical & Environmental Requirements Physical: Lift up to 50 lbs, carry up to 25 lbs, occasional to frequent standing & walking, close eye work with computer typing, reading, writing.
Environmental: Exposure to blood‑borne pathogens, chemical hazards, electrical shock, hot/cold temperatures, radiation. Shift work and possible travel required. Use of personal protective equipment mandatory.
