Position Summary:
PSI is looking to add an Investor Relations (IR) professional skilled at communicating the finer details of our operations and strategies to investors while building strong relationships both internally and in the investment community. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic messaging, investor materials, board communication, and all processes related to investor engagement and reporting. You will create and execute the company’s overall communication approach to internal and external stakeholders regarding our evolving business and investment strategies.
You will provide transparency to the investment community and advise company executives on their investor relations efforts, including M&A planning, crisis communications, earnings call preparation, and development of corporate investment proposals. Additionally, you will provide feedback to the executive team and board of directors on related PSI communications.
Essential Responsibilities
Craft messaging for press releases, annual report to shareholders, etc.
Counsel the executive team on the expectations and responsibilities of public company leaders’ communications
Coordinate quarterly and annual earnings releases, including script preparation, Q&A, presentations, and calls
Support financial reporting by drafting the Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) portion of the 10-K/Q and 8-K’s as needed
Review external marketing publications
Conduct analysis on macro environments, end markets, competitors, and market share
Contribute to the development of the Annual Operating Plan
Prepare reports and presentations for leadership meetings, the Board of Directors, and town halls
Design an investor relations website
Craft a compelling narrative detailing the company’s growth potential, business model, market opportunities, and financial performance, and apply it to investor materials
Serve as a trusted partner to the executive team
Develop an IR strategic plan for presentation to the board of directors
Develop streamlined processes and logistics for quarterly earnings announcements, conference calls, etc.
Other duties as requested by management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
Master’s degree preferred
A minimum of 10 years of experience with financial modeling, GAAP, creative writing, data analysis, presentations, data visualization, and research capabilities
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated understanding and communication of complex business issues and market dynamics
Effective communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, investors, and analysts
Exceptionally high attention to detail
Comfort with a fast-paced, demanding environment
Experience in corporate or consulting investor relations with a proven background in developing relationships with analysts and investors
Strong financial acumen with an understanding of regulations, financial markets, SEC filings, valuation methodologies, and the investment community
Ability and experience working with leaders across multiple areas of an organization, including legal, finance, accounting, sales, and manufacturing, to complete assignments
Knowledge of investor relations databases and programs
Experience with crisis communications strongly preferred
