Overview The Nash Casino, a premier gaming and entertainment destination in New Hampshire is seeking a motivated candidate that is eager to work in a dynamic and growing environment.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Facilities Manager oversees the facilities and maintenance operation on a 24-hour basis. The Facilities Manager will ensure the completion of daily assignments and supervise the Team Members in the maintenance, repair, and modification of facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and administer an annual operating and capital budget for the Facilities Department. Authorize all expenditures to both budgets and is responsible for remaining at or below budget.

Responsible for participating in both short and long term planning and setting achievable goals for the department and the property.

Be a recognizable management team member in all departments. Spend a portion of each workday with other departments planning, seeking input and coordinating both daily work and projects.

Spend a portion of each day with Team Members in the Facilities Department and actively engaging in problem solving.

Responsible for the ultimate outcome of daily work as well as projects.

Plan and coordinate projects utilizing a combination of Team Member and contractor efforts to bring projects to culmination. Be involved in construction projects from the planning and bidding process through completion of work.

Maintain a safe environment for internal and external guests by ensuring adherence to OSHA safety standards and be an active member of the Safety Committee.

Conduct interviews and hire team members keeping in mind the balance of skills necessary to successfully maintain a quality building.

Responsible for administration and supervision of a comprehensive computer based system for preventive maintenance on all major fixed asset equipment as well as a work order system for accountability of daily work orders.

Make informed decisions regarding repair/replacement of major fixed asset equipment.

Develop a working relationship with various local authorities including fire and safety officials.

Conduct in-depth engineering analysis on equipment efficiencies and make appropriate recommendations.

Build a friendly attitude among engineering staff by setting a consistent example of hands-on, lead by example hospitality toward guests and staff following company service standards.

Provide input and resolution concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention to maintain highest levels of operation with staffing, limits and applicable codes.

Assist in or build an effective team of qualified and productive management supervisory personnel to achieve positive departmental results.

Develop effective training programs and participate in continual development of the facilities department.

Monitor staffing levels to ensure the shift manager and engineers are adequately staffed on all shifts.

Responsible for ensuring adherence and compliance with all corporate initiatives and energy conservation efforts.

Becomes thoroughly familiar with all systems throughout the property.

Maintains all tools and equipment.

Conduct fair and impartial performance reviews in a timely manner.

Assist in company functions on and off property as needed.

Resolve guest complaints in a timely manner.

Prepares annual preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all property systems and equipment are serviced and maintained properly.

Handles parking lot repairs, repairs on the building’s exterior, interior repairs of the building, drywall repair, and painting.

Responsible for landscaping and lawn care around the main building and maintenance of all areas in and outside the building.

Consistently communicates operational information with the Facilities team, Executive Management, and other departments.

Assists the Assistant General Manager with the planning and development of new projects.

Responsible for issuing progressive discipline and conduct job separations as necessary.

Track attendance points for all department team members and have direct oversight of creating and maintaining coaching logs for direct reports.

Populate the schedule, approve PTO requests and approve payroll for the department as necessary.

Ensures all equipment functions properly and is also responsible for training team members with equipment and ordering supplies.

Supports company retention goals by ensuring the compliance of new Team Member attendance at orientation before working a scheduled shift.

Drive culture by consistently demonstrating leadership, a positive attitude, and the BIG Service standards.

Provides BIG Service to internal guests and ensures their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.

Education And Experience

Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Knowledge of the following is preferred: HVAC (Boiler and Chiller Operation), Refrigeration (Walk-in Cooler and Freezer Maintenance), Kitchen Appliance Repair, Plumbing Repair, Building Sprinkler System and Electrical.

Ability to supervise subordinates with impartial and fair manner through interpersonal relationships.

Requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Facilities and building management, including all phases of Facilities maintenance.

Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.

Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.

Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid NH Lottery commission badge.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues.

Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye hand coordination.
