Overview
The Kids Club Associate provides primary care for infants and toddlers, offers independent and group activities for children of all ages, and directly supervises older children within the gym. The role’s main responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of all children while they are in the Kids Club care.
Responsibilities
Cares for children in a defined area of the gym.
Organizes and participates in recreational activities such as games.
Reads to children and teaches simple painting, drawing, crafts, and songs.
Provides special needs care, ensuring children are secured in equipment such as chairs and slings.
Organizes and stores toys and materials to maintain order in the Kids Club area.
Maintains a fun and energetic demeanor at all times.
Sanitizes toys, play equipment, and completes the daily cleaning checklist.
Plans age‑appropriate activities on a weekly basis.
Completes all required paperwork.
Attends all required staff meetings.
Pages parent/guardian when necessary to address discipline issues and attend to personal needs such as diaper changes, clothing changes, and restroom assistance.
Ensures parents adhere to Kids Club policies by signing children in and out of the facility.
Follows all safety precautions when receiving and releasing children, using the Parental ID check‑in process.
Prevents drinks or foods from being entered into the Kids Club.
Remains accountable for children at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
2–3 years of childcare experience preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Infant and Child First Aid and CPR certification.
