Your new role
My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
JOC Project Manager & Estimator
to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in public works construction and a deep understanding of JOC methodology. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging in value from
$50,000 to $1 million , from initial estimating through execution and closeout.
Lead and manage JOC projects from pre-construction through completion. Prepare detailed estimates and proposals using RSMeans or similar unit price databases. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery. Conduct site visits, scope reviews, and develop accurate pricing strategies. Maintain project documentation, schedules, and cost tracking. Ensure compliance with public agency requirements and procurement regulations. Foster strong relationships with school districts, municipalities, and other public entities.
What you'll need to succeed
5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on public works. Proven experience managing JOC projects and preparing unit price estimates. Proficiency in estimating software Strong understanding of public procurement processes and compliance. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
