Position Summary As a Senior Software Engineer at Light & Wonder, you will be a key contributor within a collaborative, global engineering team focused on delivering robust, innovative technology solutions. These solutions support both internal systems and customer‑facing products. In this role, you will be responsible for the testing, integration, and validation of software applications, ensuring they meet functional, technical, and regulatory standards.

Essential Job Functions

Create and manage automated frameworks for cloud infrastructure deployment and management

Develop scripts and use tools to automate repetitive tasks for provisioning, configuration, and management

Monitor performance, diagnose issues, and optimize cloud‑based systems for efficiency and scalability

Partner with software engineering, DevOps, and operations to define and implement automation best practices

Work under the supervision of a manager to identify test cases, develop test plans, and execute test scripts for both new and existing game themes and operating systems

Follow detailed requirements and instructions provided by the Manager to ensure accurate and thorough testing

Utilize required databases and tools essential for Software Quality Engineering (Dev Ops) functions and testing processes

Introduction and overview of software test methodologies/procedures and overall product development lifecycle

Assist in reproducing issues to support the software development team in identifying root causes and implementing effective fixes

Utilize all required tools/databases for carrying out necessary functions and testing

Interact and work successfully with other team members as well as other departments

Qualifications

Years of experience 5 to 8 years

Experience in deriving Dev Ops test plans and test cases from system requirements

Knowledge and experience using Visual Studio

Knowledge and experience with C and/or C++

Knowledge and experience using Linux/Unix

Software Test methodologies and Product Development lifecycle

Automation experience a plus

Gaming industry experience preferred

Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Position requires excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members

Good time management and organizational skills

Detail‑oriented and capable of working and completing tasks with minimal supervision

Able to work and deliver in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment

Real‑time embedded systems and/or gaming experience preferred

JIRA experience preferred

Experience with Windows desktop applications is required

Agile methodologies preferred

Results oriented, risk‑taking and extensive mult‑tasking ability

This position requires 5 Days in Office

Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience.
