Compensation Pay Grade/Pay Range:

Minimum $56,600 – Midpoint $73,600 (Salaried E9).

Department Department/Organization:

209102 – OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute.

Schedule Normal Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; some nights and weekends.

Job Summary The OLLI Program Director oversees all aspects of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at The University of Alabama, providing members with intellectual and cultural experiences. The Director manages finances, speakers, logistics, registrations, events, and fundraising, and mentors, coaches, and trains staff.

Additional Department Summary Provides visionary leadership in advancing the University’s lifelong learning mission by cultivating relationships with donors, dignitaries, and government officials. Strengthens the University’s brand through strategic partnership development, innovative program management, and philanthropic engagement. Aligns community needs with institutional priorities to create sustainable opportunities that expand access to lifelong learning while elevating the university’s reputation locally, regionally, and nationally.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience; OR Master’s degree and two (2) years of experience.

Additional Minimum Department Qualifications

Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Must be at least 19 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report in compliance with University policies.

Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with an OLLI program or similar community engagement program.
