Job Title: QC Laboratory Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated QC Laboratory Technician to ensure product quality meets established standards and specifications. The role involves learning the basics of coatings technology, conducting experiments, and performing lab tests to support the analysis of materials. You will be responsible for documenting findings, participating in safety programs, and maintaining lab equipment and areas.
Responsibilities
Ensure product quality meets standards and specifications.
Learn the basics of coatings technology and compile test results and analyses.
Conduct experiments and tests using standard paint procedures and techniques.
Perform lab tests to help scientists analyze materials and document findings.
Participate in safety programs and audits to maintain a safe work environment.
Mix paint batches according to formulas or create new experimental formulas.
Maintain lab equipment and areas, including routine upkeep of specific rooms and cabinets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-3 years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED, or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a similar field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
Aptitude with SAP/WMS System and understanding of ISO-9001 requirements.
Previous quality control experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge or experience in the paint, coatings, or chemical industry is advantageous.
Work Environment The role is based in a Paint/Coatings Lab with two openings available for 1st and 2nd shifts. Candidates must be flexible to shift hours when needed and willing to work overtime. Work schedules are Monday-Thursday, with day shifts from 5:45 AM to 4:15 PM and night shifts from 4 PM to 2:30 AM.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
