Responsibilities

Lead and mentor associates in alignment with departmental vision.

Apply reliability models to sustain and improve process control system assets.

Develop and use disciplined work practices with peers in engineering and operations to plan, prioritize and execute capital and non-capital projects.

Develop and apply standard practices.

Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and other personnel to optimize manufacturing processes and create knowledge from process control systems.

Participate in the evaluation and resolution of process safety and quality incidents.

Prioritize department activities and share progress with associates and leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of equipment operation and controls used in chemical manufacturing processes (continuous and batch).

Excellent interpersonal skills to coach and communicate high-level concepts across functions.

Self‑motivated and proactive work ethic with accountability to complete work independently and through influence.

Knowledge of industrial automation networks and communication protocols.

Knowledge of ISA 95 and S88 standards and their application in automated manufacturing systems.

Integration of industrial control systems with ERP, scheduling, quality, and maintenance systems.

Experience leading a team of technicians and engineers.

Experience or certification in project management.

Willingness to travel 20‑35%.
