Construction Project Manager, Growth and Development
Soar Autism Center is an innovative healthcare provider at the frontlines of the autism market, one of the largest growth markets in healthcare services today. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, evidence‑based services to children 6 and under with autism through a one‑stop shop integrated autism center. We build state‑of‑the‑art, autism‑friendly clinics that support early intervention, comprehensive care, and a developmentally appropriate learning experience. With over 20 clinics across Colorado and Arizona, we now focus on scaling our clinic platform and are hiring Construction Project Managers to drive national expansion.
The Role:
The Construction Project Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Real Estate Development and is responsible for managing the design and construction of new centers nationwide. The ideal candidate is highly organized, experienced in managing multiple construction projects, and understands both design and construction processes. This role ensures our facilities reflect Soar’s values, maintain high‑quality standards, and open on time and within budget by collaborating closely with architects, contractors, vendors, and internal clinical and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities Site Due Diligence
Coordinate and review initial site evaluations and buildout cost estimates.
Support feasibility assessments and pre‑construction planning.
Review lease documents to ensure construction terms align with project goals.
Design Management
Oversee and assist with conceptual design to reflect Soar’s clinical and operational priorities.
Manage stakeholder feedback and incorporate it into design revisions.
Direct architectural consultants and ensure alignment with schedules and standards.
Project Execution
Lead design development, ensuring scope aligns with budget and brand standards.
Evaluate contractor bids for scope accuracy, value engineering, and cost control.
Manage general contractors to ensure timely, on‑budget project delivery.
Lead clinic activation and setup to ensure each center is fully equipped, functional, and ready for opening.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
Supervise external partners including architects, contractors, and suppliers.
Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Support smooth handoff from construction to operations.
Reporting & Process Improvement
Maintain up‑to‑date project status reports and track key milestones.
Create and manage detailed project schedules and budgets.
Support internal process improvements, reporting enhancements, and project control standardization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction, or related discipline.
2+ years of experience in design and construction industry.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Capability to identify potential project delays and provide solutions.
Able to manage multiple projects concurrently and coordinate project teams.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
Strong project management experience.
Willingness to travel nationally (25‑40%) to oversee projects and facilitate clinic openings.
Preference for candidates located in Denver or Chicago; candidates elsewhere considered.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 per year, inclusive of base salary and quarterly bonuses.
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision; 401(k) with match after 1 year; 15 days of PTO (vacation and illness).
