Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care Float Pool to join the team. This role will be Full-time Night Shift: Days Varying, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.

Job Responsibilities
Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships
Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice
Supports and empowers patient/families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end‑of‑life decisions
Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective while providing counsel and acting as a resource to resolve issues
Anticipates ethical, spiritual and cultural needs of patients and intervenes to maximize patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning
Documents all patient care activities per documentation standards and assists healthcare team members with documentation
Evaluates documentation outcomes and contributes to related performance‑improvement initiatives
Collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and leads other disciplines to meet desired outcomes
Acts as a clinical resource and serves as a mentor to healthcare team members
Demonstrates evidence of self‑development by obtaining a minimum of six formal contact hours and maintaining a personal Continuing Education Record
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
If RNs have an Associate's Degree within 2 years of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and: Identify which school they plan to attend
Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion
Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating required prerequisites and timeline for taking courses
Complete BSN within 5 years of start date
Experience: 2+ years of critical care RN experience preferred
Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association) & NIHSS
