Emergency Department (ER) Nurse - 13 Weeks Full Time Contract
Location: Burlington, NC – Cone Health – Alamance Regional Medical Center, 1240 Huffman Mill Rd, Burlington, NC 27215.
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00).
Start Date: ASAP.
Pay: $54.00/hr (base) ($54/hr).
About the Position We have an opening for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN). The RN provides specialized nursing care for patients across the lifespan who are experiencing life‑threatening conditions requiring complex clinical assessment, technologically intense therapies, and interventions. The RN initiates care, provides health teaching, and supports patient recovery under the direction of the appropriate client representative(s).

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
At least one year of experience as an RN in an Emergency Department in the last three years.
Current CPR at least to the ACLS level; TNCC and/or PALS as required, plus other health and screening tests as required by facility or regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
Complies with ATC policies and procedures.
Complies with client facility nursing policies and procedures.
Conducts individualized patient assessment, prioritizing data collection based on needs and condition.
Conducts ongoing nursing assessment as dictated by patient condition and client facility protocols.
Collaborates with other team members to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
Performs treatments and therapies as ordered by physician in a timely fashion.
Performs hemodynamic monitoring as ordered.
Provides individualized patient and family teaching.
Documents patient assessments, findings, and psychosocial responses to interventions.
Initiates emergency measures according to protocols.
Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
Provides patient care in a non‑judgmental, non‑discriminatory manner, respecting cultural diversity and autonomy.
Advocates patient rights regarding advance directives and organ donation.
Reports patient condition to appropriate personnel during each shift.
Maintains competency through continuing education and meets state requirements.
Complies with ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice.
Demonstrates ability to delegate effectively and appropriately.
Work Environment Various client facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
