Position Purpose: The Inventory Control Coordinator is generally responsible for cycle counting, investigating and determining root causes for inventory issues, and checking in company drivers and dispositioning any discrepancies or returns from the route. This position works across all temperature zones of the food storage warehouse (dry, cooler, and freezer), and works cross‑functionally to address any inventory related questions or issues.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Performs cycle counts daily, monthly, and annually as required to validate inventory levels
Thoroughly investigates inventory discrepancies or variances to determine root cause and proposes appropriate preventive and corrective measures
Checks in Company drivers, providing assistance with any inventory discrepancies, damages, and/or returning product
Processes, investigates, and reports requests for inventory adjustments and/or customer credits
Accurately tracks inventory in Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Assists with date, quality, and expiry checks as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
