Reporting to the physician and the administrative director, responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care for patients. Ensure nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. Accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise. Responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered. Minimum Qualifications Education - Medical Assistant Certification Program preferred, not required Experience
2-5 years Medical Assistant experience REQUIRED. Previous general surgery, breast health experience helpful
Licensure and/or Certification
Medical Assistant Certification Preferred, not required.
Skills
Knowledge of the Electronic Medical Record systems (EPIC) Ability to maintain confidential information Strong interpersonal communication skills on the phone and in person Strong multitasking skills needed Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Computer skills required. Ability to maintain confidential information.
