Goodwill Central Oklahoma is hiring a Systems Administrator.

Job Summary Responsible for assisting in the technical design, planning, implementation, and optimization of mission‑critical enterprise systems. Serves as one of the principal technical experts in system administration for complex infrastructure, develops and implements long‑term IT strategies aligned with organizational goals, and mentors the IT team. This is a technical role and is not a supervisory position.

Essential Job Functions

System Administration:

Deploy, configure, and maintain servers (both physical and virtual). Monitor performance, manage backups, and ensure high availability of all server resources.

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for servers, desktops, and laptops.

Maintain and manage Active Directory; administer Microsoft Exchange for seamless email communication.

Network Management:

Design, install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs for LAN/WAN.

Project & Policy Management:

Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices; manage IT projects from planning through execution.

Software & Hardware Maintenance:

Oversee software installations, updates, and patches across the enterprise and manage infrastructure hardware inventory lifecycle.

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity:

Develop and test disaster recovery plans, provide after‑hours support for critical infrastructure issues, and manage business continuity strategies.

Collaboration & Strategy:

Work with other departments to understand and fulfill their IT needs, and participate in strategy discussions for capacity planning and technology upgrades.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, system setups, and incident resolutions while ensuring compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements.

Vendor Management:

Evaluate, recommend, and negotiate with hardware and software vendors; manage relationships with external service providers for IT services.

Support for Helpdesk:

Provide second and third level support to end‑users, including remote troubleshooting.

General Responsibilities:

Keep abreast of new technological trends and threats to continuously improve IT services; ensure punctual and dependable attendance for scheduled duties and emergency responses.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 6+ years of Systems Administration experience.

Advanced knowledge of Windows Server services, virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and emerging IT trends.

Proven experience in IT project management and strategic planning.

IT certifications such as MCSE, Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP are strongly preferred.

Familiarity with ITIL standards and SLA measures.

Must be 21 years old, hold a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, have car insurance verification, and pass an MVR check.

Excellent spoken, read, and written English skills; reliable transportation is required.

Physical Requirements

Light physical work using standard office equipment; sitting for long periods; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and repetitive motions.

Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds with assistance.

Frequent use of ladder (height) and working in ceiling areas.

Moving heavy furniture to complete job tasks.

Operate a computer as required.

Work Environment

Climate‑controlled office environment with moderate noise level.

Schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.

Work 40+ hours per week or more when required.

Travel to all company locations as required.
