Overview The developer is responsible for understanding client-defined requirements and performing analysis to provide the best solution within the framework of the existing system; writing code that adheres to established standards and is maintainable; designing and executing unit tests; completing detailed Technical Design documentation and other SDLC documents required for each release; supporting testing sessions and bi-annual releases; and providing interface monitoring and support for Rhapsody.

Responsibilities

Analysis — understand client requirements and perform required analysis to provide the best solution within the existing system.

Coding — write code adhering to established standards and with minimal complexity to enable support by developers at various levels.

Unit Tests — design and execute a comprehensive unit test suite.

Documentation — complete detailed Technical Design documentation in addition to other SDLC documents required for each release.

Testing Support — attend and facilitate testing sessions, troubleshoot, collect testing evidence, and engage with test leads and the client.

Deployment — support bi-annual releases.

Interface Monitoring and Support — ensure Rhapsody interfaces are monitored and supported as described below.

Rhapsody Interface Monitoring responsibilities:

Rhapsody Interface Monitoring is performed 8:00am through 5:00pm EST with PRIMARY and SECONDARY assignments.

Rhapsody Error Queues are reviewed and kept clear throughout the day.

Developer ensures all communication points are running and messages are flowing as expected.

Triages to owning teams and follows through until the problem is resolved or a ticket is created.

Developers are expected to support an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

Rhapsody certified

JavaScript, XML, JSON, HL7 v2, HL7 v3 (a plus), SOAP and REST API experience

Technical writing skills

Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with a consulting mentality

Proactive drive to learn

Experience with data integration engines (Rhapsody preferred)

Detail-oriented with demonstrated accuracy and productivity in a changing environment

Strong communication skills

Experience

5+ years’ experience as a Rhapsody Developer

Compensation Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
