Security Manager

This position is open to applicants who are ready to take on a critical role in ensuring safety and compliance across the casino. Applicants who are early on in the hiring process will be among the first 25 to receive consideration.
Reports To Director of Security and Police
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the department’s supervisory staff and monitor adherence to all policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and gaming regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
Maintain guest service excellence by properly listening and responding to concerns.
Supervise day‑to‑day activities of team members, including performance reviews, rewards, discipline, time and attendance, scheduling, shift bids, training, and work assignment.
Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual security‑related statistical data to identify opportunities or risks.
Establish or recommend security strategies, objectives, and policies to maintain appropriate safety levels.
Consult legal counsel or insurance representatives to ensure policy compliance.
Write directives for department managers regarding security procedures.
Detain persons involved in illegal acts; notify law‑enforcement or gaming authorities.
Implement policies to improve subordinates’ efficiency.
Interview applicants and make job offers.
Resolve workplace conflicts and enforce policy violations.
Conduct safety focus groups and maintain professional relationships with law‑enforcement and regulatory agencies.
Attend management meetings and present security information.
Oversee the annual operating budget for the department.
Maintain the integrity of confidential information.
Complete required training and monitor compliance with Federal Currency Transaction Reporting and Anti‑Money Laundering requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years of experience as a security officer/guard or law‑enforcement official, preferred.
Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, preferred.
Previous supervisory experience.
Strong communication skills in English; Spanish or another language an asset.
Other Criteria Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native American preference is observed.

Visual and hand‑eye coordination required.
Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
Casino floor, outside premises, and office settings.
Frequent walking and standing in a smoke‑filled environment; contact with the public.
Temperature controlled but varying noise levels.
Potential exposure to inclement weather.
Extended hours, irregular shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
High‑pressure environment and potential exposure to irate guests.
Various lighting conditions, including strobe and colored lights.
Travel to essential functions of the position.
Conditions Of Employment
Obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License; maintain current documents.
Provide authorization to work in the United States.
Minimum age 18 years.
Reliable transportation.
Compliance with KLEC handbook, internal policy, and gaming regulations.
