Overview

The Senior Vice President (SVP), Solution Architect - Data & Analytics, will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data solutions that support the strategic objectives of the banking institution. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, extensive experience with Big Data technologies, and strong proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau. The successful candidate will act as a key technical leader, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and industry best practices within the financial sector. Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture:

Lead the end-to-end architectural design for complex data initiatives, including data warehousing, data lakes, data integration, and analytical platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and performant. Big Data Expertise:

Design and implement Big Data solutions leveraging technologies such as Hadoop, Spark Data Visualization & Reporting:

Drive the development of advanced analytical dashboards and reports using Tableau, ensuring data is presented clearly and effectively to support business decision-making. This includes designing data models optimized for Tableau performance. Technical Leadership:

Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, coding best practices, and security policies. Mentor and coach junior architects and engineers. Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders, product managers, and other IT teams to gather requirements, define technical strategies, and communicate complex architectural concepts in an understandable manner. Risk & Compliance:

Ensure all data solutions comply with regulatory requirements, data governance policies, and internal security standards inherent to the banking industry. Performance Optimization:

Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and analytical solutions, implementing optimizations to improve efficiency and responsiveness. Qualifications

Minimum of 12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in a senior solution architecture role focused on data and analytics within a large enterprise, preferably in the financial services industry. Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, complex data solutions from concept to production. Extensive hands-on experience with Big Data technologies and Oracle (e.g., Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Impala, PL/SQL, SQL with latest Oracle version). Expert-level proficiency in Tableau for data visualization, dashboard design, and performance tuning. Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and data modeling techniques. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective data services i s a plus. Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and master data management (MDM/CDGP) principles. Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Master’s degree preferred Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citi will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization for this position).
