Job Description Centralia College, a community college serving the Lewis County region, is seeking an experienced part‑time adjunct instructor for its Anthropology program. Applicants with a strong background in archaeology are especially encouraged to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach and develop curricula for various levels of Anthropology courses, according to quarterly needs.
Place student success at the center of course design and delivery.
Engage with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to foster a community of learners.
Pursue opportunities for teaching and learning excellence.
Respect the richness of diverse cultural values, beliefs, and practices of others.
Align course curriculum with program learning outcomes.
Qualifications
MA or PhD in Anthropology, Archaeology, Bioanthropology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Computer proficiency and experience with Learning Management System (LMS) platforms.
Experience teaching hybrid and online courses in Anthropology or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
Community college teaching experience.
Academic and professional experience in Archaeology.
Conditions of Employment Faculty are represented by the Centralia College Federation of Teachers, Local No. 4469, AFT/AAFL‑CIO. Adjunct employment is ongoing and filled based on need; applications will be screened as received.
Compensation Lecture/lab rates: $963.57 – $1,401.40 per credit.
