Kahler Mountain Club offers an 18‑hole, par 70 course carefully designed to complement the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

With almost 5,900 yards and a slope rating of 122 off the championship tees, KMC welcomes players of all skill levels.

The course features water hazards on 7 holes, 20 bunkers, a driving range, and a practice putting green.

Update on the plan for this position and for KMC starting in Fall 2025, into Spring 2026:

This Head Golf Professional (HP) position will be year‑round.

KMC is finishing its new simulator for golf leagues, lessons, club fitting, and more.

The HP will lead the management of this amenity, including sales, promotion of leagues and events, and operation of the golf shop during the off‑season for winter sports such as cross‑country, snowshoeing, and ice skating.

KMC’s leadership team is undergoing an organizational change.

The HP is a key hire in this new org chart, along with a new Ops Manager for the restaurant to join other department heads in agronomy and the Athletic Center.

The Position Head Golf Professional

– Reports to the General Manager of the Resort.

Manage daily golf operations, including tee sheet, cart maintenance, pace of play, and guest service.

Lead, train, and schedule golf staff, focusing on seasonal service staff (recruitment, development, and service‑culture training).

Oversee merchandising, inventory control, and sales performance.

Provide individual and group instruction, and develop engaging golf programming for members and guests.

Collaborate with other Ops Managers (deputy managers) including the Superintendent, Restaurant/F&B Manager, Athletic Center Manager, and Assistant Manager (under direction of the Resort GM).

Prepare and manage budgets for golf operations.

Uphold KMC’s values and culture through excellent member service and leadership.

Experience Required

PGA Class A member preferred; at least Level 2 PGA Associate in good standing required.

Experience in recruiting, training, and managing workforce.

Proven experience in tournament operations, events, and client relationship management.

Proven experience in golf instruction, including clinics and/or camps for juniors, adults, women, and couples.

Preferred candidate has background in resort, private, semi‑private, or upscale daily‑fee facilities.

Essential Responsibilities

Benefits Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range of $57,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

Opportunity for added lesson/clinic income (100% of teaching income, recently approximately $4,000), depending on the professional’s ability and motivation.

Annual performance bonus based on performance to budget, goals, and sales in specific outlets; negotiable.

Allowance for continuing education and PGA professional association dues (when in good standing).

Family golf privileges and other benefits per company policies (for golf and KMC athletic center, winter sports).
