Responsibilities
Assist in the pre‑transplant phase of patient evaluation, reviewing diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and other pertinent information in clinic and before the medical review board.
Coordinate patient (and donor) care, triage calls, and assist in medical and medication management.
Educate the patient and/or donor on all aspects of the transplant process, including pre‑ and post‑transplant care.
Prepare and submit all necessary information to UNOS, CMS, JCAHO, insurance companies, and other relevant entities regarding transplant service inquiries.
Perform administrative functions such as preparation of QI reports, attending meetings and conferences, and other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience, with at least one year of transplant coordinator experience preferred.
Valid, current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
Position Requirements
Educational Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Experience Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of RN experience. • Preferred: Previous RN coordinator experience.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: • Basic Life Support (CPR). • Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
Compensation Salary Range: $48.14 – $63.75 per hour.
