Position Overview As a Tire Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the tires of the vehicle fleet. The Tire Technician works in extreme weather conditions and a shop environment, performing all types of tire installations and repairs on heavy equipment and company vehicles such as front loaders, side loaders, roll‑off trucks and others as required. The hours and physical demand may vary by location.

Position Responsibilities / Job Description

Examines damaged, defective, or flat tires to determine the extent of damage and the feasibility of repair.

Tire technician job often involves heavy lifting and long hours on their feet.

Stamina to remove and install large truck tires and stay on task for an entire shift.

Perform and inspect tire rotations and alignments on vehicles before and after installation within our safety compliance.

Perform routine housekeeping duties related to tire inventory, tools, shop, and maintain a clean work area.

Show knowledge of different types of tires and their applications.

Road test vehicles after repairs are completed. Prepare paperwork including work orders, part usage records, tire weight records, etc.

Perform any other related duties as assigned by Shop Manager and handle inquiries professionally.

Qualifications

Willing to work 2nd shift hours (3:30 pm – 1 am).

Experience inspecting tires for wear, damage, repair, replacement, alignment, and balancing within safety compliance.

Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Maintains and secures tire inventory, and tire equipment, reports shortages and levels to management.

Valid driver’s license.

Previous experience in tire services or automotive repair.
