Flagstaff Surgical Associates is looking for a Physician Assistant to join our thriving surgical specialty practice in General Surgery.
Company Overview Flagstaff Surgical Associates is a medical specialty clinic with 32 physicians and advanced practice providers. FSA offers Urological, General Surgery/Trauma and Ear, Nose & Throat (including allergy & audiology) and Gastroenterology care. We pride ourselves in providing compassionate patient care, quality healthcare treatment, and excellent patient experiences.
Overview Our General Surgery Physician Assistants (PAs) have a variety of responsibilities and duties that help support the needs of our patients and the community. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Pre-operative Care:
Conduct patient histories and physical exams.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging).
Educate patients about surgical procedures, risks, and recovery.
Intra-operative Assistance:
Assist surgeons during operations (e.g., retracting tissues, suturing, controlling bleeding).
Ensure sterile field maintenance and proper surgical instrumentation.
Perform minor surgical procedures under supervision.
Post-operative Management:
Monitor patients in recovery and manage wound care.
Remove sutures, drains, and staples.
Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
Provide discharge instructions and follow‑up care.
Administrative Duties:
Document patient encounters and surgical notes.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and healthcare regulations.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00

Flagstaff is a culturally diverse, picturesque mountain and university community with four seasons. The town sits at 7,000 feet, nestled in the world’s largest ponderosa pine forest. Flagstaff is a great community for raising a family and for outdoor recreational activities. Flagstaff is 2 hours from Phoenix; 1 hour from the Grand Canyon; 45 minutes from Sedona and 15 minutes from Snowbowl Ski Resort.
This opportunity will be great for any Physician Assistant with interest and/or experience in Wound Care.
